Strengthening Community College Funding and Workforce Readiness

AUSTIN – Today the House Committee on Higher Education heard testimony on the committee substitute to House Bill 2110 (HB 2110), relating to higher education. The bill refines provisions set forth in the historic House Bill 8 from the 88th Legislative Session which overhauled the state’s financing of community colleges. Texas Business Leadership Council Vice President of Policy Kelle Kieschnick issued the following statement in support of the legislation:
